The Westbrook Regional Vocational Center is proud to welcome Messer Truck & Van, a Westbrook-based business, as one of our newest community partners. Members of the Messer team recently visited WRVC to meet with Automotive, Electricity, and Heavy Equipment students and share information about the many career pathways available within their industry. Students had the opportunity to learn more about the company, ask questions, and explore how their current technical training could connect to future careers.
As part of this new partnership, Messer Truck & Van is establishing a $1,000 scholarship in honor of a valued colleague who recently passed away. This generous gesture reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the next generation of skilled professionals.
We are grateful for the time the Messer team spent with our students and for the cool swag and delicious donuts they brought along to share! Looking ahead, we are excited about the potential of this partnership, including possibilities for Cooperative Learning placements, student field trips, and ongoing industry collaboration.
