Some important reminders and updates:
Arrival - Student arrival is between 8:25 and 8:40 a.m. Students who arrive before 8:25 a.m. must be accompanied by an adult. Students who arrive after 8:40 a.m. are marked tardy. Please make sure your child is in school by 8:40 a.m. so they can transition into the school day successfully with their peers. In addition, we ask that all parents/guardians say "goodbye" to their children outside of the school. Parents should not enter the building in the morning unless they need to speak with the front office staff.
Dismissal - Parents/guardians who are picking up their children at the end of the day must stay in their cars and use the pick-up lane. This lane forms along the side of the building on Huntress Avenue and proceeds to the front of the school after the buses leave. Teachers will direct cars to cones and bring students to the corresponding vehicle. Pick-up occurs after buses are dismissed (approximately 3:20) and can take from 5 to 15 minutes. Please be patient and plan accordingly. If you are walking to pick up your child, you may not come onto school property until all of the buses are loaded. Ensuring a safe dismissal process is a top priority, so thank you for your attention to this.
Birthdays - Due to allergies, the district’s wellness policy, and the fact that we are a diverse community with various celebratory events, treats are discouraged from being sent into classrooms for birthday celebrations. Thank you for understanding.
