We had a very generous donation from Kathy Hutchins, a local retired teacher, who makes these read it, write it and make it boards. Check out some of Mrs. Marden’s kindergarten cougars in action using the boards to build sight words and foundational skills! We have such an amazingly supportive community!
Our 3rd and 4th grade cougars got to participate in a state-wide mock election! Our cougars were able to be a part of the entire voting process, including making sure students were registered to vote. The students had a great time and are eager to hear the results in their classrooms today.

Yesterday our 3rd grade cougars got to go to the Westbrook Performing Arts Center and enjoyed a performance of Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About a Terrible Monster! Our cougars were a great audience and enjoyed seeing the show!
As Bus Driver Appreciation Week wraps up, this incredible team was welcomed to the Congin bus circle by smiling faces and presented with sourdough cinnamon rolls and little treats!

To get our bus drivers and staff all ready for the winter ahead, we gave them some coffees, teas, local honey, hand warmers, chapsticks, and chocolates today!

Check out some of Mrs. Lappin's first grade cougars, Liam and Elijah playing Top It! Students have to add two digit numbers by drawing quick tens and ones. Whoever has the largest answer gets a chip! Nice work, first graders.
It's Bus Driver Appreciation week! Today our PTO celebrated our bus drivers by delivering treats to them, and we will be providing them with goodies throughout the week! Don't forget to thank our bus drivers for all that they do to keep our students safe!
Mrs. Morowski’s class talked about what it means to be a good friend. They read a wonderful story about true friendship called, “Bad Apple.” They made a craft of the main characters to help them retell the story to their families! Nice job, cougars!
The rain didn’t stop these Congin Cougars from waking up early for Weather At Your School with Ted McInerney from WMTW. Thank you to Willow's Mobile Coffee Café for the donated treats and The Daily Grind for the donated hot chocolate for students!

It's AAC Awareness Month! AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and we have students who use various communication resources at Congin. Check out this bulletin board celebrating our different ways of communicating that our speech pathologists Vicki Waxman and Nicole DeRoche have created!
